Ryozen Kannon is on the east side of Kodaiji Temple parking area. After entering, you can see the great statue of Kannon beautifully reflected on the pond along with the Higashiyama Mountains.
A recommendation from monk Join
You can feel you are in the great nature of Japan at Ryozen Kannon. The great statue is not as famous or as old as the ones of Nara city or Kamakura city, but it is located where Ungoji temple (which often appears on Noh plays) used to be, so naturally it has become a power spot. Ryozen Kannon Shyakyo hall and Zazen hall are simple and not overly decorative, so you can feel the essence of Zen.
